Grinding and deburring

The products supplied by Ellinger do not require any kind of post-processing or finishing, and can be immediately installed.

Burrs created during the machining of the components are removed by Ellinger using a variety of processes. When creating our products, we have found barrel finishing / Trowalising® and fine deburring to be most effective.

Barrel finishing / Trowalising

Barrel finishing (Trowalising®) offers various options for deburring components or changing their surface finish. Depending on the abrasive head and other components used, the edges of the components can be deburred and rounded off in a single process. Surfaces can also be cleaned, smoothed and even high-gloss-polished. In addition to the great variety of surface finishes, Trowalising is also effective and efficient – advantages which we pass on to our customers.

Fine deburring

Our customers have discerning standards when it comes to the burr-free surface finish of our products. This is why we use manual fine deburring techniques performed by specially trained employees. This allows us to remove even the smallest edges, fraying and splinters. A final inspection ensures that all components which leave our factory are burr-free.

Abrasive blasting (bead blasting)

In order to achieve a perfect surface finish, we use abrasive blasting where required. In this procedure, highly pressurised sand is blasted onto the component. This creates a particularly smooth and clean surface. Depending on the requirements, we also use glass beads as blasting material in order to give surfaces an even finer texture.
